Background Information:
FXB Suraksha reaches out to children affected by AIDS and poverty and enable families and communities to take care of them. FXB Suraksha's mission is to help AIDS orphans and other vulnerable children through a holistic approach: by investing in self-sustaining communities, linking health and human rights and broadening constituencies for social change. Currently, FXB Suraksha is pioneering low-cost integrated solutions to care for those infected and affected by AIDS.
About the position:
You will work in a dynamic, fast paced, team-oriented environment to prepare for and bring to fruition the fundraising efforts of FXB Suraksha from the public and private sectors. You should be able to launch and manage campaigns and advocacy based on evidence. You will be the creative writer and website manager for FXB Suraksha. You will be involved in whole cycle of communication within the organisation sometimes directly with the CEO.
Main Responsibilities:
- To create and/or acquire content for websites, email newsletters and other online and print communications.
- To manage, maintain and update the website on daily basis according to the progress of the organisation’s work and needs. The elements of website management will be:
- Design and Development: Maintain appropriate design and a consistent look and feel throughout all web properties.
- Coordination and Planning: Maintain and manage a calendar for updation of the web-information.
- Content Creation: Create, develop and manage content for organisation’s web presence.
- Website promotion: Manage promotion of website through relevant blogs, listservs and events.
- Communication with users: Any feedback on the website or enquiries made should be promptly responded.
- Content Maintenance: Update and maintain time-sensitive material and archive content for future reference.
- To prepare the e-newsletter of FXB Suraksha for internal and external communications and circulate widely.
- To manage email campaigns and appeals to assist the fundraising team.
- To maintain and update archives of pictures, news print media and other items of importance to establish organisation history.
- To develop and maintain media relations by implementing a yearly plan for engaging media, build and update a database of key journalists, newspapers, magazines, electronic media both television and radio, develop and update a media docket, develop press releases, conduct media tours and organize press conferences as and when required
- To manage production of routine and important documents like the annual report etc.
Our Requirement:
- Should be proactive and innovative in approach.
- Should have the ability to write, edit, analyze and coordinate the documentation of current and new features for organisation and its work.
- Should have practical experience of managing a dynamic website and changing design and content.
- Should have basic knowledge about the design and print elements.
- Work experience: 2-3 years experience.
- Qualification: Should be a post graduate preferably in mass communication / development journalism/social sciences Or an equivalent experience in executing fundraising strategy, writing funding proposals, developing content for various communication tools – print, website etc. Send us sample of past work done along with the CV for better screening of the application.
- Basic knowledge of French will be an added advantage.
- Salary: In range of Rs. 15,000 – 20,000 per month depending on the experience.
