Who We Are?
Working in the area of HIV/AIDS, FXB Suraksha is among few NGOs in the country with functional presence across India. Supported by Francois-Xavier Bagnoud International (FXB International), FXB Suraksha programmes consist of care and support initiatives for AIDS Orphans, vulnerable children and people living with HIV and AIDS.
There may not be a consolidated data available on the number of children who have been orphaned by AIDS, but according to an UNAIDS estimate, over 15 million children under the age of 18 had lost one or both parents to AIDS by the end of 2005. As the AIDS pandemic deepens, millions of other children in impoverished communities are also at risk.
There is no denying of the fact that these children need attention, care and support even to be able to survive. And these are the children FXB Suraksha stands for.
Investing in these children (orphaned and vulnerable) and the families that raise them makes our world a safer and better place.
